Kickstarter Watch: Reassembly

Kickstarter Watch: Reassembly

A few weeks back, just a bit after PAX Prime, Seven sent me an email with the following text and an attachment:

The game is pretty damn solid, even in alpha.  I lost a good weekend on this demo, so hate me later.

That attachment contained a link to the Reassembly Alpha build, and yes, I did loose a weekend. Reassembly is a phenomenal game of exploration and construction giving you an incredible amount of freedom to make just the universe exploring ship you want.

Start off as a small ship in friendly territory.

Explore a living universe.

Say, “Hello,” to your neighbors.

Gather resources, upgrade your power reserves and unlock new components.

Redesign your ship as much as you want.

Make it a bit larger and check in on the neighbors again.

Or try out other designs

Now to design a fleet.

Build some outposts.

Explore the map.

Make new friends.

That is, in a nutshell, the aim of Reassembly. It’s a game best shown off by these gorgeous screenshots, and better yet, experienced. There is a downloadable Spaceship Editor on the game’s Kickstarter page which will give you just a taste of what you can expect from Reassembly:

Reassembly has just 4 days left in their funding period. It has raised (at time of writing) $27,058, just shy of its goal of $28,000. If you’d like to help this game make its funding goal, head on over to the Kickstarter page and take a look at your options. I, personally, couldn’t resist that sweet, sweet music:

Have your say!
