We ran into Sean Heron and Final Spike at the Friendship Garden booth at this year’s Play NYC. I had a chance to chat with Sean, and very quickly learned the back story of Final Spike. I immediately knew I wanted to do a formal Indie Dev Interview to share this with you all.
In this Interview we talk with Sean about his game Final Spike, a local multiplayer beach volleyball game drawing inspiration from Windjammers. We talk about the game’s funny inception, some of the technical challenges Sean ran into, and what drew Sean into the world of independent game development.
Our thanks to Sean for taking the time to talk with us and share his story.
Final Spike will be releasing on Itch.io on October 1st.
A Demo is currently available now if you’re interested in giving it a try.
You can check out our older Indie Dev Interviews to learn more about the stories behind a whole host of other indie games, as well as the motivations of the people that make them. Comment, like and subscribe to our YouTube channel if you find them interesting and want more!
