I’ve already talked about why I think Maelstrom looks so cool: a fantasy naval combat game with tons of customization options, fast-paced combat and giant sea monsters to fight and/or bait.

Recently, we had the chance to talk with Blaine Smith, the lead developer at Gunpowder Games, and the mind behind Maelstrom, a fast-paced competitive fantasy naval combat game currently on Kickstarter. We talk about the game’s balance between pve and pvp, plans for expansion, and the companies unique take on a Kickstarter Campaign.
