Today, tinyBuild announced what they are calling “by far our biggest project” yet.
Hello Neighbor is a survival horror game in which tinyBuild and Dynamic Pixels are aiming for “10+ hours of gameplay that’ll switch between a sandbox (the house), and story-driven segments that take place elsewhere”, all involving a nefarious AI opponent that will learn your patterns and predict your movements, all in order to capture you more effectively.
You move into a new suburb, and realize your neighbor is hiding something in his basement. The only way to find out what it is, is to sneak into his house.
The problem is that the Neighbor has an advanced AI that learns from your every move. He will place traps, anticipate your movement, and scare the crap out of you. I guarantee it.
This is Hello Neighbor, a game by tinyBuild and Dynamic Pixels.
I’m terrified, but intrigued. The idea of a truly formidable AI opponent to try and outwit actually has me a bit excited.
tinyBuild has promised a playable build buy next week, so we’ll plan on showing of the game more on next weeks Friday IndieGame Variety Stream. (This week, its all about that Clustertruck!)
