Publisher Chucklefish and developer Lunar Ray Games have announce that their 2D metroidvania adventure, Timespinner, will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita on September 25.
Timespinner stars a woman named Lunais, whose family is murdered in front of her while the ancient timespinner device is destroyed. She then finds herself stranded in an unfamiliar world, and vows to take her revenge on the evil Lachiem Empire by using her time manipulating abilities.
As Lunais, players will collect elemental magic orbs, which become stronger with each use, and combine their powers to use different blades and spells to help them defeat various enemies. Players will also encounter familiars they will befriend who can aid them in battle, while a second player will be able to play as a familiar alongside Lunais in co-op mode.
Timespinner is also set to feature a “PS1 Style” gothic soundtrack composed by Jeff Ball (composer for Tiny Barbarian DX and violinist for Steven Universe), as well as full gamepad support for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
