Interview: Brian Wilson on Where The Bees Make Honey

I knew two things as soon as I started playing Where The Bees Make Honey at the Indie minibooth at PAX East 2019.

First: I was going to stop playing the demo on the show floor, because I needed to be in better environment to really take in the game’s mix of atmosphere, music and the surreal. Devs, This is always a good sign.

Second: I knew I wanted to interview developer Brian Wilson to find out the story behind this game.

Luckily, Brian was on board, and we had the opportunity to talk with him after we got back from the show. In this interview, we discussed the game’s backstory, it’s intriguing use of different styles of animation, arguments about it’s length and what drew Brain to the world of independent video game development.
