Behind the Scenes of Tokyo 42

Behind the Scenes of Tokyo 42

Yesterday, Mode 7 Games released a fascinating look into the development process of SMAC Game’s Tokyo 42, on which they are acting as publisher.

This took the form of a 16 minute behind the scenes interview with Sean and Maciek Strychalski, the fraternal team of developers creating Tokyo 42:

It’s very cool to see the work flow and dynamics behind this game, and the two halves (art and programming) of indie game production and how they work together. Additionally, we get to see a little bit about the relationship between creator and publisher, which is something we don’t get insight into all that often.

Tokyo 42 is “an isometric action game inspired by classics such as Syndicate and GTA1”, and is currently in the Alpha Stage of development.

Have your say!
